The Shropshire Triathlon has been held at the fabulous venue of The Mere at Ellesmere since 1992.
The Mere in Ellesmere was awarded the Green Flag Award for eight years in a row, recognising it as one of the best parks in the world.
Middle Swim course distance: 1 lap = 1km
Middle & Middle Relay: 1km lap x 2 laps = 2km
Olympic & Sprint Swim course distance: 1 lap = 750m
Olympic & Olympic Relay: 750m lap x 2 laps = 1.5km
Sprint & Sprint Relay: 750m lap x 1 lap = 750m
Middle & Olympic Bike course distance: 1 lap = 39km
Middle & Middle Relay: 39km lap x 2 laps = 78km
Olympic & Olympic Relay: 39km lap x 1 lap = 39km
Sprint Bike course distance: 1 lap = 25km
Sprint & Sprint Relay: 25km lap x 1 lap = 25km
Run course distance: 1 lap = 5km
Middle & Middle Relay: 5km lap x 4 laps = 20km
Olympic & Olympic Relay: 5km lap x 2 laps = 10km
Sprint & Sprint Relay: 5km lap x 1 lap = 5km

Full and up to date competitor race day information with your race number and start time will be emailed to you 7-10 days before the event. Please check spam/junk folders.
WE DO NOT POST ANYTHING OUT - you will collect your race numbers, stickers, etc. at registration on the day.

Choose your favourite discipline, then invite friends or teammates to join and complete your relay team.
(Age restrictions apply)
A relay team can consist of two or three people.
Each member of the relay team completes one or two of the three disciplines in the triathlon.
The swimmer completes the swim, then the swimmer passes the electronic chip to the cyclist inside the cycle transition area.
The cyclist completes the cycle course and passes the electronic chip to the runner in the transition area.
The runner completes the run and hands in the electronic chip at the finish line.
All team members can cross the finish line together and collect their medals.
We award first place in the Female Relay Event and first place in the Open/Mixed Category Relay Event.
All Open/Mixed Category teams can consist of two or three people, male or female.
If you are taking part in the Middle, Middle Relay, Olympic or Olympic Relay, wetsuits are compulsory.
For the Sprint and Sprint Relay, wetsuits are not compulsory. However, if you wish to wear one for these distances then that isn’t a problem.
